Why Boonma
Quality you can put your name behind.
We're careful about the parts we put the Boonma name on. From the manufacturers we work with to the checks we make along the way, it all comes back to one thing — supplying parts you can confidently sell to your customers.
One standard across the whole range.
Whether it's an engine mount, strut mount or one of our smaller ranges, we apply the same approach to quality. It starts with who we buy from, continues with how we check the parts, and carries through to the warranty we put behind them.
Boonma parts are supplied through some of Australia's leading national parts groups, as well as independent resellers around the country.
We choose our manufacturers carefully
We buy from established specialists — most with 15+ years behind them, one making rubber-to-metal parts since 1973 — and keep vetting them once they're in the range.
Made to recognised standards
Our manufacturers build to recognised automotive quality standards — some to original-equipment (OE) specification — and we confirm their certifications before committing to a range.
Checked before we stock it
Before we list a new part, it's matched to the vehicle and checked against catalogue and OE data — so it fits right the first time.
How we source
We work with established manufacturers, many of whom we've been buying from for years. Those relationships matter. They know what we expect, we know what they're capable of, and there's a history behind the products we buy from them.
We don't expect one manufacturer to be good at everything. We choose manufacturers based on what they specialise in.
For example, we source suspension and mount products from a Taiwanese rubber-to-metal specialist that's been manufacturing since 1973. Our engine mounts and chassis parts come from dedicated manufacturers with their own rubber-mixing and bearing facilities. And our hoses are made by a fluid-transfer manufacturer that supplies original equipment to more than 20 vehicle manufacturers worldwide.
Certifications
The manufacturers we work with hold recognised quality certifications relevant to the products they make. These include IATF 16949 for automotive manufacturing and ISO 9001 for quality management, along with other standards covering testing, environmental management and workplace safety.
IATF 16949
Automotive quality management
Held by manufacturing partners across our mount, bush, bearing, driveline and hose ranges.
ISO 9001
Quality management systems
Held across a wider group of our manufacturing partners.
ISO 14001 · ISO 45001
Environmental & workplace safety management
Held by our hose manufacturing partner.
ISO/IEC 17025

How we control quality
Choosing the right manufacturer is only the start. We also check the parts we receive and the application data behind them before they become part of the Boonma range.
Before we add a part
A new part doesn't go straight into the range. We check the product, its specifications and the information supplied by the manufacturer before we commit to stocking it.
Incoming checks
When stock arrives, we check the parts before they go onto our shelves. We look at their condition, finish and overall consistency, and if something doesn't look right, we deal with it before it reaches a reseller.
Fitment accuracy
Quality isn't much use if the part doesn't fit. We match applications against catalogue and OE cross-reference data to help make sure the right part is listed for the right vehicle — reducing unnecessary returns and headaches for our resellers.
Where our parts are made
Most of our products are manufactured in Taiwan and China, with some ranges also sourced from Thailand and Malaysia. We don't choose a product simply because of where it's made. We choose the manufacturer based on their experience, capability and the quality of the parts they produce.
Wherever the factory is, we expect the same thing — a product we're comfortable putting the Boonma name on.
How a mount is built
Take our engine and chassis mounts. The manufacturer mixes its own rubber rather than buying in a ready-made compound, giving it control over the material from the start. The rubber is then bonded to the metal components under heat and pressure to create the finished mount.
The metal components are treated to resist corrosion, and the finished mounts are checked for things such as stiffness, dimensions and bond strength. The manufacturer also has its own laboratory for fatigue, corrosion, ozone and material testing.
Warranty
We put a lot of care into the parts we sell, but if something does go wrong, we stand behind them. Boonma parts are backed by warranty, giving you and your customers confidence after the sale too.
